Overview
Andrew M. Golden is a partner in Nutter's Private Client Department. His practice includes drafting sophisticated estate plans, with a focus on minimizing estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes; advising young families in the earlier stages of their professional lives with estate plans, specifically those geared toward providing for minor children; and advising personal representatives and trustees in the areas of estate and trust administration, including the preparation of estate tax returns. Andrew also has ample experience in finding solutions for irrevocable trust instruments that include unintended ambiguities or other provisions that interfere with efficient administration, such as the preparation of Non-Judicial Settlement Agreements and General Trust Petitions.
Andrew is passionate about addressing the environmental causes of breast cancer, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition in loving memory of Margo Simon Golden.
Andrew is the author of several MCLE chapters on trust administration and estate planning matters, appearing in both “The Probate Manual” and “Drafting Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts”. Andrew has also been a speaker before various groups, including the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, on matters ranging from powers of appointment and disclaimers to non-probate transfers and changes to federal estate tax law.
