Ian Roffman, a partner in the Litigation Department and a member of the Securities Litigation and Government Enforcement practice groups, was a panelist on the “An Evolving Regulatory Framework: Updates on SEC Regulation and Enforcement” panel at the Thomson Reuters Governance Risk and Compliance Forum at the W Hotel Boston on April 30. The panel discussed a number of issues being enforced by the Securities and Exchange Commission including recordkeeping and information security; regulation of advisers’ use of controversial “expert networks”; registration of advisers to private funds; and SEC spotlight on financial crisis cases.
