Nutter and ACC-Northeast Present ‘The Diversity Imperative: Developing Successful Strategies to Achieve Diversity Leadership within the Legal Profession’
Print PDFNutter and the Association of Corporate Counsel Northeast Chapter invite corporate in-house counsel to attend a half day program on diversity, “The Diversity Imperative: Developing Successful Strategies to Achieve Diversity Leadership within the Legal Profession,” on June 21. Experienced panelists and professional diversity consultants will identify successful diversity strategies and explore—through a series of panels and hands on workshops—how those strategies can be applied to achieve diversity leadership within corporate legal departments.
The keynote speaker is Carol Fulp, president and CEO of The Partnership, Inc., New England's premier organization dedicated to enhancing the competitiveness of the region by attracting, developing, retaining and convening multicultural professionals. The workshops will be led by two dynamic diversity consultants, Marguerite Fletcher and Patricia Hennessy of Fletcher Legal Consulting.

Discussion will center on how corporations are implementing ABA Resolution 113, and will focus on initiatives that are working (and those that are not), and how organizations are avoiding diversity fatigue. Panelists include:

Workshop I - Key Professional Development Strategies for Diverse Attorneys
Workshop II - Successful Management Strategies for Increasing Diversity Leadership
Lead by professional diversity consultants, Marguerite Fletcher and Patricia Hennessey, of Fletcher Legal Consulting, these 90 minute workshops will be held simultaneously, with Workshop I tailored to Younger Attorneys (with themes related to professional development tools) and Workshop II tailored to Department Leaders (with themes related to how to be a better leader). These interactive workshops will engage participants through small group discussions and experiential exercises. We will discuss situations that could arise in the legal environments in which we work and strategies to help make a difference.
