Steve Saunders, co-chair of Nutter’s Intellectual Property Department, will speak on a panel about intellectual property and innovation financing at a Boston University event. Steve will discuss whether having strong patent protection is more important for entrepreneurs in some sectors rather than others when raising capital from external parties, how the Supreme Court’s Alice decision and related rulings affected the overall intellectual property strategies of startups in software-related fields, and common mistakes entrepreneurs make when managing their intellectual property. Steve will be joined on the panel by Andrew Lo, the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
