Corporate Finance / Commercial Lending Lawyer Matthew P. Doring Joins Nutter as Partner
Print PDFNutter announced today the arrival of Matthew P. Doring, who joins the firm as a partner in its Corporate and Transactions Department. Doring focuses his practice on corporate finance, commercial lending and tax-exempt financing, and all aspects of business law.

Doring has extensive experience advising lenders and borrowers in senior, second lien, equipment financing, and subordinated debt transactions, including advising financial institutions in their syndications and participations. He also represents manufacturers, real estate investors and developers on a wide range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, contract negotiations, partnership agreements, and corporate governance.
Doring’s arrival strengthens Nutter's Commercial and Real Estate Finance practice group, which is selected by lenders, equipment lessors, and borrowers to handle thousands of transactions involving collateral in 46 states and abroad. This activity accounts for more than $8 billion in real estate lending transactions and more than 1,000 equipment financing deals worth more than $3 billion in the last decade. Nutter is counsel of choice for more than half of the top 10 commercial banks in the United States for one form of commercial finance or another, as well as many of the region’s most reputable life insurance companies, pension funds and commercial borrowers.
Active in the legal community, Doring is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Business Law Sections of the Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations, and the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts.
Doring frequently lectures on commercial finance, corporate law, and real estate topics. He is an Executive Committee member, trustee, and clerk for the Essex County Community Foundation. Doring is also the president and a travel coach for Triton Youth Basketball.
Prior to joining Nutter, Doring was a partner in the Boston office of a prominent New England-based law firm. He earned his law degree from Notre Dame Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
