Mary Ryan Named BTI Client Service All-Star in 2015
Print PDFIn recognition of her outstanding performance and client service, Mary K. Ryan, litigation partner at Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP and former president of the Boston Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association, was named a 2015 Client Service All-Star by BTI Consulting, a leading market research firm in the legal industry. This prestigious honor recognizes attorneys who embody and deliver superior client service. This is the second year in a row that Ryan has received the recognition. The only way to become a BTI Client Service All-Star is to be singled out by corporate counsel for delivering exceptionally strong and effective service.
Identified solely through unprompted feedback in a survey of nearly 320 legal decision makers at the world’s leading companies, the All-Stars are selected based on criteria that include innovation, outstanding results, and exceptional understanding of the client’s business.
A member of the American College of Environmental Lawyers, Ryan has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for over 25 years, has been ranked among the leading environmental attorneys by Chambers USA in every edition since 2004, and was named Best Lawyers’ Boston Environmental Lawyer of the Year for 2011. She represents companies in a number of industries in complex environmental litigation. Her practice includes substantial trial and appellate cases in the state and federal courts, as well as administrative hearings and proceedings.
In addition to her bar association presidencies, Ryan is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), currently chairing the ABA’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service and co-chairing the ABA’s Working Group on Unaccompanied Minor Immigrants. She is a past chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Delivery of Legal Services and a past member of the ABA Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defendants, and has also been involved with its Litigation Section’s Environmental Litigation Committee.
Ryan serves on Nutter’s Pro Bono Committee and was the first chair of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services. She received the Boston Bar Association’s Thurgood Marshall Award in 2011.
