The ranking is based on survey responses from 5,176 third-, fourth-, and fifth-year associates from 132 firms from around the world. Nutter had high scores in all categories and the highest cumulative score, ranking much higher than the national average in several areas, including:
• Satisfying work – Nutter scored 4.75 out of 5, compared to the national average of 4.17
• Partner/associate relations – Nutter scored 4.94, while the national average was 4.17
• Training and guidance – Nutter scored 4.94, almost a full point above the national average of 4.01
• Attitude toward pro bono – Nutter scored a perfect 5.00, with the national average being 4.39
“Mutual respect, teamwork, and commitment to client service are integral to our culture,” said Deborah J. Manus, managing partner of Nutter. “Our associates are key members of our client teams and add great value to the work of our partners. This gives them a very fulfilling experience. In addition, Nutter prioritizes rigorous training and both formal and informal mentoring from partners. In the end, the firm and, most important, our clients benefit.”
“Associates here have a high level of satisfaction because the firm is committed to training and mentoring us, and makes us important members of the team,” said Nutter associate Jean L. Kampas. “It means a lot at this career stage to contribute directly to our clients and help achieve results for them. We end up with a lot of growth experience and the confidence that we provide value. That’s what shows up in the survey results.”
