Nutter was awarded the 2011 Green Business Award by Mayor Menino on April 15. Nutter was one of twelve businesses in the city recognized for doing their part to make Boston a greener, more sustainable and livable city.

Over the past year, Nutter implemented various initiatives that focused on energy efficiency, water conversation and waste reduction. These initiatives included selecting a designated sustainability officer, conducting bi-annual sustainability surveys and creating a green policies and procedures manual for employees.
