Paul J. Ayoub, a member of Nutter’s Executive Committee and partner in the Real Estate and Finance Department and Nutter Charitable Advisors, was featured in The Boston Business Journal regarding his election to Chair of the National Board of Directors of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the article, “Boston attorney chairing fundraising board for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital,” Paul discusses his lifelong commitment to and involvement with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Paul’s father, Joseph, was a founding member of the group and Paul, who has served on the ALSAC board since 1992, noted that the mission of ALSAC and St. Jude is very personal to him, given his family history with the organization and its important mission in the world. "My father, who was a lawyer in the Boston area, came to know Danny Thomas because of shared Lebanese heritage. The first met in the early 1950s when my father asked Danny Thomas to perform a benefit for an organization my father was president of whose goal was to raise money to buy and operate a camp in Plymouth for inner-city kids in Boston. A few years later, when Danny Thomas was looking for people to help him raise money to build and operate St. Jude, he called on my father who was on the original board and wrote the original bylaws of ALSAC with Danny Thomas,” Paul said.

As Chair of the ALSAC Board, Paul provides oversight to ALSAC, which was founded five years before St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 1957. ALSAC exists solely to raise funds and awareness from supporters around the world to operate St. Jude, an organization leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
