Julia Satti Cosentino, co-chair of the Nonprofit and Social Impact practice group, addressed best practices for nonprofits in two videos for MindEdge. In “Hiring Practices,” Julia spoke about the fundamental principle that nonprofits cannot operate for anyone’s private benefit and how that affects nonprofits when hiring. According to Julia, it is critical that nonprofits pay their people reasonable compensation based upon data. In “Getting Started,” Julia discussed the necessary steps to successfully launch a nonprofit. “All of that stuff that may seem like a distraction from your mission is actually what's going to allow you to achieve your mission,” Julia said.
