Beth Mitchell Honored by Connect CRE as a Top 10 Real Estate Lawyer in Boston & New England

Beth Mitchell, a partner in Nutter’s Real Estate Department and co-chair of the Commercial and Real Estate Finance practice group, has been selected as one of the top 10 real estate attorneys in the Boston & New England region by Connect CRE in their 2023 Lawyers in Real Estate Awards. The awards honor attorneys real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice and the larger community.

The profile highlights Beth’s 37-year career at Nutter, where she advises financial institutions, investors, developers, and other public and private entities on financings, acquisitions, dispositions, leases, joint ventures, foreclosures and troubled debt restructurings. Beth’s projects include downtown office buildings, suburban office parks, mixed-use developments, hotels, healthcare institutions, retail complexes, residential multi-family and condominium developments, laboratory buildings and industrial properties.

She was co-lead of the legal team advising a joint venture concerning its $140-million financing of 101 South Street. She was on the legal team representing the Phoenix Property Company/Lincoln Property Company and an institutional investor in structuring Parcel K, a mixed-use project in Boston’s Seaport District. Mitchell also co-led the legal team counseling Brighton Marine on its $46-million, 102-unit affordable housing project, the Residences at Brighton Marine.

Mitchell has served as president, executive committee member and Regent of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys; is on the Board of Governors and a past Programs Committee Chair of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers; and served as president of the Real Estate Finance Association. She is also a past Real Estate Bar Association clerk and former chair of its Commercial Real Estate Finance Committee.

Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America have recognized Mitchell. She was selected as a “Top Women of Law” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, named a BTI Client Service All-Star by BTI Consulting and received the CREW Boston Achievement Award.

She received her law degree from the Northwestern University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Yale College.
