Nutter Expands Firm With Partner Matthew E. Lane
Print PDFNutter announced the continued expansion of its highly regarded Real Estate and corporate practices with the addition of Matthew E. Lane as a partner in its Boston office. Lane has a broad-based practice representing clients in joint ventures, real estate private equity, mergers and acquisitions, general business transactions, and corporate governance.

Lane will counsel developers, sponsors, and capital sources with respect to the organization and structuring or single- or multi-project real estate investment funds in various asset classes, joint venture agreements, and preferred equity investments. He has extensive experience advising clients on sophisticated sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions spanning a broad array of industries. In addition, he represents athletes in negotiating endorsement contracts, athlete agent agreements, and commercial rights agreements, including “NIL” (name, image and likeness) deals for high school and collegiate athletes. Lane is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Boston Chapter and the Boston and New Hampshire Bar Associations, and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch and The Legal 500.

Prior to joining Nutter, Lane was a partner at a national law firm. Earlier in his career, he was a USA Track and Field authorized athlete agent and manager for professional track and field athletes. Lane earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law and his B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
