Nutter Represents Copley Equity Partners in its Investment into Aethon Aerial Solutions and Flight Evolved
Print PDFNutter served as legal counsel to Copley Equity Partners, a Boston-based private investment firm, in its investment to recapitalize, and facilitate the merger of, Aethon Aerial Solutions and Flight Evolved. The combination of Aethon and Flight Evolved creates one of the most technologically advanced aerial inspection companies dedicated to asset management for utilities in North America. The Nutter deal team was led by Shannon Zollo, chair of Nutter’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice group, and Jonathan Calla, a partner in the Corporate and Transactions Department, and included Meghan Kelly and Kate Henry on corporate matters; Michael Mooney, Chris McLoon, Erin Whitney, and Laura Marsell on tax matters; Emily Fox on labor and employment issues; and Pat Concannon on intellectual property matters.
As leading providers of these services to multiple U.S. and international utilities, Aethon Aerial Solutions and Flight Evolved have collectively inspected over 200,000 utility structures year-to-date in 2020. By combining Aethon Aerial Solutions’ progressive approach to helicopter-based aerial inspections and mapping with Flight Evolved’s innovative UAV solutions and software development, the combined company will now address the full spectrum of a utility company’s needs for asset inspection and management.
