Seth Berman, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department and leader of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security practice group, contributed a guest column about the ramifications of the Equifax data breach. In the article, “Richness of exposed data makes Equifax breach among worse ever,” Seth noted, “Losing control over 143 million credit cards would be very bad. Losing control over 143 million Social Security numbers, and their associated identity information, is far, far worse.
