Writing for University Business, Jonathan Kotlier Analyzes Academic Fraud Investigations in Higher Education

Jonathan Kotlier, a partner and chair of the White Collar Defense practice group at Nutter, and Joe Toomey, an associate in Nutter’s Litigation Department, wrote an article that outlined the best practices for colleges and universities to properly and thoroughly investigate allegations of academic fraud in University Business. In the article, “Higher Ed Academic Fraud Investigations: A Better Way,” they note that universities should adopt the long-standing corporate model—the use of an outside investigator hired to investigate, report the findings, and make recommendations to decision-makers.
