Mike Scott, a member of Nutter’s Executive Committee and partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, penned an article for Banker & Tradesman that discussed how Massachusetts’ development community needs to think strategically and more creatively about the state’s housing needs. In the article, “Making the Case for Transit-Oriented Development,” Mike outlines the Baker Administration’s new proposed law changes zoning requirements for housing. This initiative seeks to add 135,000 homes over the next eight years to extend the current pace of development, setting aside $10 million in state funds to reward participating cities and towns.
