Seth Berman, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department and leader of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security practice group, wrote an article for Banker & Tradesman titled “How Monetization of ‘Big Data’ Will Affect the Banking Industry in 2020.” Seth explores the risks and opportunities that “big data” will provide for banks. Seth points out that banks need to be prepared for a new litigation environment, as banks will find themselves on a collision course with proponents of heightened data privacy that will inevitably pass through the courtroom.
