Nutter advised Night Shift Brewing in connection with its agreement to be acquired by Hendler Family Brewing Company (HFB). Night Shift will be joining an impressive portfolio of local craft brands including Jack’s Abby and Wormtown to create the largest producer of craft beer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Nutter team was led by Mark Burgiel and Tom Rosedale, and included Rob Lynch, Nichole Shustack, Isabelle Cunningham, and Michael Mooney. The transaction is expected to close by year-end.

Night Shift Brewing was founded in 2012 by a trio of friends with a shared passion for nocturnal homebrewing. Through culinary inspiration and determined innovation, Night Shift aims to create memorable craft beers that offer a wide array of unique, complex flavors.

HFB founders and brothers Jack, Eric, and Sam Hendler are driven by a clear mission: to preserve and foster the growth of independent craft beer across the Commonwealth while maintaining a deep commitment to community and sustainability. The purchase of Night Shift will solidify HFB’s position as a key player in the New England craft beer scene, providing stability and sustainable growth for brewers and employees alike. With a projected annual production of 100,000 barrels in 2025—equivalent to 24 million pints or 1.4 million cases—HFB ranks among the top 30 craft breweries in the nation.
